May/June Fun

Our next door neighbor is two. He adores the boys, and they like playing with him.

Zach took his first thrower to the state meet!

Monroe has two jobs this summer.  She is doing swimming lessons and lifeguarding at Lochland.  And she is working at Tropical Sno.

My next tattoo

We've done quite a bit of evening driving to give Monroe practice.

We discovered these Flips on clearance at Menards.  We went back for two more bags.

Our boys did the inning break entertainment at a Sodbusters game

Graham won but had help righting his toter from a few of the players.  Pierce was a good sport, but did not think that was a fair outcome.

Our last time golfing with the Sloans before they move :(

Soccer Tournament

The boys had a soccer tournament in Omaha.

Our goalie was there, so Pierce got to play defense with Graham.  The two of them work so well together and communicate without communicating.  They are really good at keeping the ball away from the goal and feeding it up to their offense.

In our second game, there was a corner kick.  Pierce was on defense and called for the ball.  He kicked a perfect floater into the top right corner of the goal!
Later, a teenage ref told him he had seen his goal, and it was the best shot of the tournament.
Graham also got pushed up to striker for a few minutes of this game so that he could also score a goal.

The Runcie Wall

In their third game, they were beating the other team 2-0 at half.  The other team came back to win 3-2.  We had to play the same team later that afternoon for the championship. At half they were up 2-0.  We came back to win 3-2! Our team and fans went crazy!  Pierce ran over and jumped into my arms.

It was a really fun tournament!  We love watching these boys play their hearts out!
