Carving Pumpkins

This year, Zach's parents are picking up our kids from school each Wednesday.  One week they took on the task of carving pumpkins.

Lochland Halloween Party

Lochland had their annual Halloween party.

The new thing this year was snake handlers

The boys pick up gardener snakes in our yard, but they wanted nothing to do with these big guys.

I'm the opposite.  If I know their mouths are over there, I'm good.

Then we played other games

And headed out on a hayrack ride.  

It was terribly windy, but not cold or rainy like last year.

Pumpkin Patch Field Trip

Pierce and Graham got to go to the Pumpkin Patch on a field trip.  They had wonderful weather, and it was a fun day!

We were excited because Monroe was okay with us not taking a trip there as a family.  (I love the pumpkin patch, but it was nice to take a year off.)

I know it was warm, but I don't think it was warm enough to be barefoot.

Murder Mystery Dinner

Our friends, Kate and Mark hosted another murder mystery party this year.  We had done one with a 40s theme a few years ago.  This one was a Wild West theme.

One of the girls brought her grandma's antique hats, so we had to take a picture with them.

First Husker Games for the boys

Zach decided that he wanted to take the boys to a Husker game this fall.  We both thought it would be nice to take them individually because they are rarely not together.  They don't get one-on-one time with us as parents too often.  We were going to draw a name to decide who went to the first one, but Graham happily bowed out.  He said he didn't want to drive to Lincoln. So, Pierce got to go first.

Nebraska vs. Georgia Southern

It was a surprisingly close game that we lost.  

A few weeks later, it was Graham's turn. They went to the Indiana game.

Another night game

Graham is the first Runcie kid to see a Husker win.
