Art project

I bought a few canvases this summer, but I didn't know what I wanted to do with them.  Zach's brother's girlfriend, Emily, came up with the best idea.  She had made a small version for her room, but we were nervous to try it on such a large scale.  

First, we drew out the tree.  This was the hardest part because we couldn't erase.

Then, we painted it brown.

Finally, we cut out leaves and birds from scrapbook paper and decoupaged them.

I absolutely love how it turned out.  Emily and I had a great time, and it looks perfect in our family room.  Thanks, Em!
