We moved into our house last August. Zach and I were both already back at work, so no painting happened then. Every single room in our house needed painted. They were all either light pink, yellow, or green. We decided to make that our task for this summer. Zach's parents and my parents both paint, so we asked them if they could help us in the month of June.
One thing I was not looking forward to painting was the trim. We have wide beveled trim throughout the house that was a buttercream color. I wanted it white, but I did not want to brush it and it couldn't be rolled. So, we hired CM painting to come do all of the trim work, and we did all of the walls.
Here are some before pictures of the trim and walls:
CM Painting started early in the morning prepping all of the main rooms for spray. Every window, ceiling, and floor was covered with tape and plastic. All of our stuff was covered in the center of the room.
It was crazy to see their operation. It only took them one work day, and the results were amazing!
Before and After
The day the painters were working upstairs, my parents, Zach's parents, and the two of us painted the entire downstairs.
The next day we did two bedrooms and the living room.
Our bedroom is a grayish-purple
Our bedroom is a grayish-purple
The boys' room is gray
You can kind of tell in this picture. The living room is one shade darker than the entryway.
And look at that fresh white trim!
That left the kitchen, dining room, hallway, two entry ways, laundry room, and sunroom left to do. These got done in chunks over the next week or so.
Getting a little help
This color is two shades darker than the living room.
We love how every room turned out. Our house feels so fresh and new!
