April Fun (at home)

Zooming with my class

The official notice that we were done for the year.

A science experiment

We had the neatest church service on Palm Sunday.  We picked up a bag and tuned our radio to a particular station.  Then, we listened to the service as we paraded around town praying for different groups of people.  We started at the court house, and we prayed for our leaders.  Then we drove to the hospital and prayed for those in the medical field.  Then, we drove out to Tractor Supply and prayed for all workers.  Finally, we drove to the school and prayed for teachers, students, and parents who are now teachers.  We ended back at the church where we took communion in our cars.

And they're out

I bought a sewing machine, and sewed myself a mask.

Weird to have my room packed up in early April

We have been looking for a table and chairs for the basement.  A card table has been sitting here for 1 1/2 years.  I had these chairs in my amazon cart, but I needed to find a table.  I finally found one at an antique shop.

Kissing neighbors

Jumping on the trampoline with the sprinkler

We've eaten so many meals outside

We had a teacher parade.  It was really neat to see so many families outside.

Doing some science

We also got new chairs for the dining room.  We had antique chairs that we had repaired too many times to count.  We were done with them.  It was hard to commit to new ones, especially because we only needed 3. Most chairs are sold in sets of two.

Puzzles, puzzles, puzzles

A beautiful night on the course

A Mid-April snow

I let the kids dig for worms in the mud.  Our porch looked like this afterward.  They were just as muddy

I saw this idea on Pinterest, and I thought it looked fun.  I taught Monroe how to change from improper fractions to mixed numbers using dominoes.

The boys
(We hang out regularly with our next door neighbors because Ashley and her kids stay home, and John works in an office by himself.)

We bought a new tree

And a new plant for inside
