Thanksgiving

The first night of Thanksgiving break, we went to Wicked For Good with cousins.  It was great!

Thanksgiving with the Runcies

We celebrated Thanksgiving with the Burkles on Saturday.  We all met at the Capitol building for family pictures.

The building was absolutely gorgeous!  

I didn't know taking pictures there was a thing, but families with photographers were all over.

After taking a bunch of pictures in the main area, we found this hallway with amazing lighting.

All State Choir

 

Monroe auditioned for the Nebraska All-State Choir.  All of the students in Madrigals (the upperclassman select choir) learned the music together, but Monroe had to teach herself the six choral songs. After auditioning, she had to wait a month before finding out the results.  

She made it!  All-State is the highest vocal achievement for high schoolers in Nebraska! 

She spent three days in Lincoln working with the choir. Then, they performed on Saturday afternoon.

The choir was amazing!  The first chord where they all came in was very powerful!  Monroe is blessed to have gotten to sing with a choir full of so much talent.

We went out to dinner after the concert.

Congratulations, Monroe! So, so proud of you!

Variety Show

 

Zach and I performed in the Hastings Community Foundation Variety Show again this year. 

Our group of five did a Wicked medley.

Then the guys did another comedic skit.

We always have a great time!  One of our favorite nights of the year!

Basketball

 

The boys played in a three-on-three basketball league the month of November. It was great to have so few kids on the court.  You could see a lot of growth happen for all players.  In these pictures, Pierce has black shoes, and Graham's are white.
