Volleyball

We had such a good experience with club volleyball.  Monroe loved her team and coach.  They learned how to play together and keep their emotions in check.  There were six tournaments, all only one day, and all within an hour drive.  We will definitely have her play again. Most of my pictures are of her serving because it was impossible to know when a ball would be coming to her for a pass.  The boys did great entertaining themselves at each tournament.  I love this game!

This was our favorite tournament!  We made it to the gold level tournament play and upset the #1 seed.  We lost in the finals, but it was so high energy!

Their only medal of the season
(Lots of second place finishes)

This little brother brought cooler toys than we did :)

The girls were all very emotional after the last game.
Thanks, Coach Connie!

Bachelorette Party

I went to Kansas City for my future sister-in-law's bachelorette party.  At the same time, Zach was in Las Vegas for my brother's bachelor party.  In KC, we went to a brewery, did Axe throwing, and hung out in the Power and Lights district.

The kids had fun with my parents.

February Fun

The boys had career day at school.  Thanks to a few friends, they had awesome outfits to wear.

Pierce, the pilot

Getting their Valentines ready

We went to the store to pick out Valentine candy and buy stuff to decorate boxes for the boys.  While there, I had a stroke of parenting genius.  We walked out with these bags.  They took them as their Valentine boxes.

My first loaf of sourdough bread.  I'm hooked!

The Hastings High vs. Adams Central basketball games are always so competitive and fun to be at.  Hastings lost to the AC girls in double over time.  The boys won.

One of my students from last year bought me my favorite: raspberry KitKat

We went to Fiddler on the Roof with friends at the Orpheum.  I had never seen it.  It was a great show!

This high school boy took on Monroe and two friends in a game of basketball.  It was so sweet!

If you are a puzzle fanatic like I am, you need to look into Liberty Puzzles.  We borrowed this one from Zach's teaching partner.  It was so fun!
