4th of July

We got home from Branson on July 3rd at 10 p.m.
However, we had a busy 4th, so sleeping in and recuperating had to wait a day.
Brooke and Nicole threw a baby shower for Kyndell in the morning. Monroe was so excited to see Kyndell!

Then, that afternoon, was Dedrick's 4th birthday party.
Melinda made the cake.

The kids got to smack a piñata.  Monroe had never done this before, so she was a little confused about the purpose.

After the party, we met my parents in GI.  They had been in Omaha picking up my grandma, who is staying with them for a month or so.  We went out to eat with them at Red Lobster.

We lit off a few fireworks at our house.
Then, we drove to Fonner Park to watch the city fireworks.
We had some neighbors that went crazy with fireworks, so next year we might stay home and watch their shows.

We finished the night with sparklers.
It was a fun and busy 4th!
