My 32nd Birthday

I don't remember a time that Easter and my birthday were so close together.   My birthday was on Tuesday, two days after Easter.
After school Zach and Monroe went shopping.  They hadn't had the opportunity earlier since our house was full of people.

They got me flowers, a chord for my phone, a necklace and earrings, and Reeses Eggs. Monroe was so proud of her gift.

Then we went to Fuji for supper.  Zach surprised me by having Derek, Lea Ann, Troy, and Ashley meet us there.

It was a great birthday!

Easter

We always spend Easter in North Platte, but this year was different.  I am not allowed to travel, so instead, we hosted Easter at our house.  My parents came Friday night.  It was my mom's birthday, so we went out to eat at Red Lobster.  Zach's parents came over Saturday morning for brunch.  We also dyed Easter eggs.

We all went to our church Sunday morning.  We had never been on Easter before, and we loved it.  We had a combined service, and the sanctuary was packed.  They had a praise band, chancellor choir, and brass quintet leading a variety of music.

Baby update

26 weeks

You can't tell from the pictures, but my stomach is getting much wider.
I am getting quite uncomfortable as well.

We had an appointment with the Perinatologist on Monday.  They are very pleased with the boys' progress.  Both boys were breathing on the ultrasound.  This is a voluntary motion, and according to the ultrasound tech, shows a sign of contentment.  It was cute to see their chests rising and falling.   She also commented on how much the boys were moving.  She asked if they ever took a break.  I emphatically replied, "No!" because they move all the time!  They have grown a lot in the last month.  Baby B is measuring 3 lbs 10 oz (40th %) and Baby C is measuring 4 lbs 2 oz (80th %).  Although this may seem like a big difference, it is within a good range for twins.
The appointment didn't help us know if we are close to delivery.  They gave me signs to look for, but that is all.  The boys are both breech at this time, so hopefully they will readjust before they decide to deliver.

Baby C
He was trying to suck his thumb.  We could see his tongue moving in and out of his mouth.  We finally got his thumb out of his mouth, but his hand was still in front of this face.

Spring Break

We had a week off for Spring break the first week of March.  This year was weird because we didn't have travel plans like we usually do.
We did make a trip to Hastings to see family and friends.
Monroe reading Cale and Everett a bedtime story.

Papa was filling his hot tub, so it wasn't too hot.  Monroe had a great time swimming in it.

That night we had dinner with family.  Since, Monroe's second cousins ended up getting sick, she was the only little one.  We all promised to play with her.  That meant doing floor puzzles together.

On Tuesday morning, we met friends at the Children's Museum in Kearney.  I surprised Monroe, and she was so excited!

We then went to eat at Culver's and did some shopping at Target and a few other stores.

On Wednesday, we had a picnic at Stolley Park.

On Thursday we took Monroe to Mikki's for a day with friends.  She took the kids to see Zootopia.  Monroe has not stopped talking about it since.

On Friday we went mini golfing with Troy and Ashley.

Hanging out at home

On Saturday we went to the horse races.  We have been twice this year already and we haven't placed a bet yet.  However, we should probably start betting on Monroe's horses because she tends to pick the first or second place horse each time.

Monroe's new trick

Zach led worship at church that Sunday.  When Monroe saw him on the stage, she said, "Why is Daddy up there pretending to be that guy?"

We had a nice, relaxing spring break.  We got a lot accomplished and are ready for the boys to come when they are ready.
