Our old nanny had a baby in November. We got to meet Beniah while they were home.

Our nephew Oliver turned 3 on December 7th. He had a party at Champions in Hastings.

We took the kids to see Santa. When I set Graham on Santa's lap, he started sobbing. I didn't think it was fair to Santa to have two screaming babies, so we joined the picture.

Alysa made us the cutest Christmas presents with the kids
On December 22nd Pierce woke up from his nap with a fever. Zach was insistent that he needed to go to the doctor. I thought he was over reacting. Zach finally won, and he took him in. He tested positive for Influenza A :( We cancelled all our Christmas plans for the next few days, and we planned for the worst: three kids with Influenza.
Silly Ellie!

Snow for Christmas!
Pierce's fever broke on December 23 and it never came back. Also, the rest of us didn't show any symptoms. I called our doctor on Christmas eve to see if the test could have been wrong, but he told me no. He was shocked that his fever only lasted 24 hours and that no one else had gotten it. He said it was very rare to have only one sibling with influenza, especially with our boys sharing everything. We stayed home for a full week anyway, but we are so thankful to have had a really mild case of Influenza.
