I wanted to make the last week of summer memorable, so we planned a different activity to do everyday. A few weeks before I had made a summer to-do list, so we tackled most of these this week. Monroe was staying at my parent's house Monday and Tuesday, so she was doing her own fun activities.
On Monday we went to a Sodbusters game.
As we were leaving, I realized I hadn't taken a single picture, so I snapped a few.
On Tuesday we went to the new and improved Children's Museum.
On Wednesday we picked up Monroe in Lincoln and went to the zoo with cousins.
We had a great day with family at the zoo!
On Thursday our Newell friends came to Lochland for a play date. It was a cloudy day, so we had the pool all to ourselves.
On Friday we took the kids fishing. We met the Johnstons there. The fish were biting so fast, we couldn't keep up.

Pierce cast out his line and reeled in a fish all by himself. He was so proud.
Even willing to throw it back
On Saturday, the adults got a fun day instead of the kids.
(Although our kids love anytime they get to spend with their babysitter.)
We went to a surprise 30th birthday party for Ashley.
Ashley is eating dairy free while she is nursing, so I had Emily make her a dairy-free cake. Ashley cried when she saw it.
We were in the pool from 1:00-10:00. It was such a fun day!
On Sunday I took the kids to GI to ride the Stolley train.
On Monday we got donuts and went fishing again.
We had a great last week to end an amazing summer!
