Vacation at Mahoney State Park

In early July, we went to Mahoney State Park to celebrate Grandpa Jerry's 80th birthday.

I got pictures from many different people, and I was having trouble organizing them.  So, here's all the fun we had in four days:   (The birthday celebration is at the end.)

Here's a nice action shot of Pierce not letting go of the rope :)

Linda and Jerry's kids planned a beautiful celebration for Grandpa's birthday.  They made a video of all his children, grandchildren, and some great-grandchildren answering questions about what they love about Grandpa.  It was very emotional.

It was a special vacation!

4th of July

Zach got a stomach bug on July 4th, so we canceled plans with family.  I was determined to make the day fun anyway, so I ran to the store during nap.

That afternoon, we made rice crispy treats.

And did lots of snaps

Then we enjoyed red, white, and blue popsicles

 Running through the sprinklers

I have been looking for one of these sprinkler mats all summer.  I finally found one, but it's different.  It is like a slippery water bed.

That night, Monroe and I drove to Fonner park to watch the fireworks.

The wind had really picked up, so we put the seats down and laid  in the back of our SUV.

It was a different 4th, but we had lots of fun!
