There is a new minor league baseball team in Hastings, so we had to check them out.  It was a great family atmosphere.

 One morning we went out and played/explored at the state fair play area.  It was fun until Pierce got stung by a wasp :(

We found a house!

On July 3rd, we sold our house in Grand Island.  The couple we sold it to is part of our family.  It is my sister-in-law's sister.  We had no house in Hastings, but we set a closing date for August 10th.  We planned to move in with Zach's parents for a few months while we built a house.  Building is something I had never wanted to do, but we seemed to have few other options.

We left for vacation at Mahoney State Park the next week.  While we were there, a house came up on Zillow with no pictures.  Based on the price and location, I called our realtor to see if we could get into it on our way back home.  The next day, the house was off Zillow, but the appointment was made.  On Thursday, July 12, we walked into the house and offered them full price on the spot.  It was everything we were looking for and the price was less than many homes we had been looking at.  They accepted, and we had less than a month to pack up our house and move.

The house is out at Lochland Country Club.  This is a beautiful area, and it also means a nice commute for Zach as he drives to Grand Island everyday this school year.  We feel so blessed to have found this house!
