A note to Monroe from her PE teacher

On my birthday, my students decorated the white board.

Troy and Ashley came to town and we went out.  I didn't get a single picture with them, but here's the cookie they gave me :)

My teaching team also got me lunch and a gift.

We also went out to eat with the kids, but I failed at pictures that night too :(

Girls' Weekend in KC

Leslie, my best friend from high school, lives in Tulsa, OK.  We often talk about getting together, but life gets busy.  We finally did it in March.  We met in Kansas City for the weekend.    Friday night we stayed in the hotel room talking.  It was so nice to relax and catch up.

The next morning, we started with brunch.

Then we went shopping.

We took motorized scooters around the plaza.  They were so fun, but also kind of scary.

Then we got massages and shopped some more.

That night, we went to a sushi place.

Leslie and I had the best time together.  We cannot wait for the next trip.

Stitches for Graham

Graham is our first child to get stitches.
He was playing at his aunt's house and fell into a round side table in the living room.  We took him to prompt care, and she said he needed stitches.  She said we could go to the ER because they had a better numbing system, or if we thought he could handle the shots, we could just stay there.  Graham did so well.  He cried when he got the shots, but he never moved or flinched.  She was so impressed with him.

Two stitches later
I think the worst part for Graham was missing Pierce.  When we got back to the house, we realized that Pierce had really struggled as well.  The two had never really been away from each other.  Graham's lip healed up nicely. He has a little scar that you can hardly see.

Omaha Wedding

Zach's cousin got married in Omaha.  Unfortunately, Zach planned a ski trip to Colorado the same weekend.  I decided to take the kids anyway and stay with Zach's parents.  The weekend went really well.

What's better than hotel pools and cousins?

Zach sent us some gorgeous pics from the mountains
