Swimming Lessons

The first night of swimming lessons got cancelled because of weather.  Monroe was so disappointed because she had been asking about them for weeks.  (The third night was cancelled as well.)

Swimming lessons were much different this year because Zach and I didn't do them with Monroe.  She was technically too young for this class, but we had already done two years of Mommy and Me lessons.  And, her instructor from last year told us she was ready for this class this year.

Most of the nights, they were in the shallow part, but they went to the deep end with life jackets a few nights too.

Monroe would only go off the board if a life guard took her hands and dropped her.  She wouldn't jump by herself.

On the last night, they got to go on the water slide.

They ran out of paperwork, so they are mailing us her report card.  I don't know what things they were expected to do, but she will definitely be doing this class again next year.

8 years

On the 15th, Zach and I celebrated our 8 year anniversary.  Zach's parents came up and watched Monroe, and we went out to dinner.  We went to Fuji.
After supper, we went to the Chocolate Bar and had martinis outside.  It was a beautiful night.
We decided the house and all the things we're buying for it would be our gifts to each other this year.

Look at the difference between this year's photo and last year's.  What a difference!

Happy anniversary, babe!  I love you!

Carpenter Wedding

On Thursday, I drove to Omaha to spend the weekend with college friends at Terry and Eric's wedding.
Personal shower on Thursday
We got manicures and pedicures the next morning and then helped decorate for the wedding.

Beautiful Bride

I was one of Terry's personal attendants.  I loved my job because I got to spend so much time with Terry.

I love this picture of Monroe and Terry

Personal Attendants

Terry has four nieces.  They were Monroe's friends for the weekend.

My date

At the reception, they had a live band do all the music.  They were awesome!  I have never seen a dance floor that was so full.

It was a fun, exhausting weekend.  I loved catching up with everyone from college.  Congratulations, Eric and Terry!
