At the beginning of March, my school threw me a diaper shower for the boys.
They spoiled us with wipes and diapers of all sizes.
This sweet poem was read at the shower
The best way to wipe off the table, apparently.
For Read Across America week, each class decorated their door with their favorite book. We chose The Day the Crayons Quit. If you haven't read it, you should. It's super cute!
We went to our first democratic caucus. It was a fun experience, and I am glad we attended. Our candidate won in GI and in Nebraska.
St. Patrick's Day
A chilly walk
One evening we went out to eat with Zach's parents in Hastings. Some guys nearby were playing darts. Monroe asked if she could throw them. One of the guys really took a liking to her. Every time it was his turn, he came and got Monroe, and had her throw three darts before he threw them himself. Then she would go around and high five each of the guys. This went on the whole time we were there. I was really impressed with them.
Palm parade on Palm Sunday
On Palm Sunday, our church participated in One Great Hour of Sharing. A month before, Monroe was given a fish bank to fill with change. Throughout the month, Monroe asked for jobs that she could do to earn money. Some were her regular chores and others were extra things we came up with. She put every coin in her bank knowing she would be giving it away. She was so proud of how heavy it was and couldn't wait to take it up to the altar.
