Monroe turned FIVE on Friday!
She was with Nana that day, so Mikki gave her her gift on Thursday. She got this fun hair stylist kit and a carseat for her baby dolls.
When we picked her up on Thursday, we drove to the mall to get her ears pierced. We had been talking about it for weeks, but we weren't sure how it would go.
Her last picture with no holes :(
Monroe was a total champ! We knew ahead of time that they would do one ear at a time, so we were nervous for the second one. There were no tears, and she said it didn't even hurt. Zach and I were shocked and so proud of her!
Then, we let her choose supper. She picked Texas Roadhouse so that she could sit on the saddle. She didn't know that they weren't going to give her a treat, though.
On Friday it was beach day at preschool.
She took donuts for her treat.
We had told Monroe a few months ago that she wouldn't have a party for her birthday. We thought we might be in the hospital, and I don't think she needs a party every year. Zach's family had other ideas and insisted on doing something.
Monroe wanted cupcakes instead of a cake. Nana let her do almost everything herself.
My girl
She looks way too grown up!
Ready for presents
Her uncles and aunts got her a soccer goal.
This outfit makes her look so big!
Zach and I got her a new leotard and then told her it is for gymnastics this summer. She is so excited!
Five candles!
We measured her for the growth chart.
She's up to 42 1/2 inches.

Love the earrings and her expression when she opened the leo! Happy Birthday Monroe!
