February Phone Dump

Our pretty food at the Chocolate Bar one evening

We went sledding one Sunday at the hill behind Mikki's house.
It was CRAZY windy, so we didn't last long.

Derek and Lea Ann got a new puppy.  Monroe was in love with Buster.

Landon had his 5th birthday party at Super Bowl.
Excited after her first spare.  She had three spares and a strike.

Zach and Brian spent their time trying to win a pair of Beats headphones.  They were so focused, and it was funny to watch.

Out of eight kids, Monroe won.  She almost broke 100.

Zach and Monroe had Dad and Me day at preschool

She couldn't handle how much this tickled.

Their homemade treasures

My dad took his sons and son-in-laws to a Husker basketball game.  That left my mom, Monroe, and I to have a girls' day.  We shopped the whole day, mostly for antiques.  Monroe loved it.  She kept saying it was the best day ever and requesting group hugs.

The next day we had lunch outside.  It was gorgeous!

Monroe's dance recital isn't until June, but we had a try-on night for the costumes.

Against Zach's wishes, we went to the circus again this year.  If we didn't get in free, I would definitely not go.  But, because we do, I feel like we need to take advantage of it.
Monroe loved it all!

Monroe is really into writing right now.  The other day she asked if she could borrow my computer to type her cousins' names.  I think she looks so grown up and yet so little.

Zach's Birthday

Friday was Zach's 31st birthday.  He has been needing a new phone, so I text him to meet me at Verizon after school.  He picked out an iPhone 6 plus.

Then, we went home to open Monroe's presents.
I had taken Monroe shopping for Zach.  I gave her a price limit and then let her pick out what she wanted to get him.

She picked legos

and a remote control monster truck
She was so proud of her gifts, and Zach has had a lot of fun with them.

For supper we went to the Thai restaurant with Zach's parents and Derek and Lea Ann.
Then, we went to get dessert.

Happy birthday, Z!

Valentine's Day

Zach and I went out Friday night for Valentine's Day.  We went to a new Irish pub in town and then to the Chocolate Bar.  We didn't take any pictures, but our babysitter and Monroe had some Valentine fun while we were gone.

On Sunday morning, we dropped Monroe off at Sunday school and then went and had a donut date.

That afternoon we made a snowman.

Isn't he cute?

Monroe enjoyed her heart-shaped donut for a snack.

A new Pete the Cat book

And a cookie making set

That night we went out to eat at Whiskey Creek.

It was a wonderful day with my Valentines.
