Let's go fly a kite

While reading Monroe's library books on Sunday morning, I noticed there were a couple of kids flying a kite in one of her books.  That's when I remembered that Monroe had gotten a kite for her birthday.  So, that afternoon we drove to "Ducks Lake" to fly her kite.

We had a great time doing this fun childhood activity together!

Last summer play date

For our last play date of the summer, we went to the splash pad in Hastings.  You wouldn't know it from my pictures because Monroe never even got wet.  She, Hudson, and Landon were much more interested in the Cat that was evening the ground on the other side of the splash pad.

Monroe has started acting scared of the dark lately.  We found this cool night light for her room.

She asked me to paint her fingernails, not just her toenails.
