Easter Weekend

We went to North Platte this weekend to spend Easter with my family.  On Saturday morning, we went to the children's museum.  It was a lot of fun! I so wish we had one in GI.

We spent a lot of time in the medical room.  They had doctor's kits and tables, x-rays, and animals to work on.  They also had a giant Operation game.

Jensen was really intent on fixing this lizard.

Monroe loved the (fake) reaction she got from Jess.

This pirate's ship was super cute too.

That afternoon, we played outside a lot.

My mom got the kids matching pajamas for Christmas, but we didn't get a picture of all five of them wearing them.  So, we did it this weekend.

I Love this picture!

The next morning, we got up and went to church.  Monroe was very excited that this was the day that Jesus had risen from the dead.

I love this one of the kids too!

After pictures, we had our Easter egg hunt.  Grandpa always reads a story about the meaning of Easter while my mom and brothers hide the eggs.
Monroe had to find the purple eggs this year.

Monroe crawled up into Grandma's baby swing, and Samara was pushing her.

We had a great Easter together!

Dying Easter Eggs

We go to North Platte every year for Easter, so Zach's parents came up an evening last week to give Monroe her Easter basket and to dye eggs with us.
This was Monroe's first experience dyeing eggs.

They brought a kit with a lot of different coloring options, but Monroe seemed to choose the ones that dyed her hands as much as the eggs.  This was after one color.  By the end, he hands were quite colorful.

Doug and Melinda also bought dyeing eggs, which dyed well but aren't eggs, so they won't go bad.  These will be great to hide around the house all year.

March Phone Dump

This showed up on my Timehop a few weeks ago.

I got these awesome flowers from a student on St. Patrick's Day.

Zach and I decided to each fill out a bracket this year.  I have two of the final four picked.

We went to GIPS night at the Storm hockey game.

Derek and Lea Ann each played in the Whoopers and Hoopers basketball tournament in Hastings. We had fun watching them.

Looking cute for church

This is what a fever looks like.  Tuesday of last week, Monroe woke up with her first ever fever.  At first we weren't going to take her in, but then she started complaining that her back and legs hurt.  We took her to the doctor that afternoon, and she had Influenza B, or as she says, "Infaloozen B".  She only had a fever for two days, but we kept her home for four plus the weekend just to be sure.  We have never seen her this sick.  Fevers are no fun!  Ice cream makes them better :)

I bought a new bag from my oils, and it works perfectly!

This picture came up on my Timehop.  Four years ago, I was 39 weeks pregnant.

Mikki has had small numbers this week because of everyone getting sick, so she took the kids to get Dairy Queen one day.

I like to make Monroe her own small Shutterfly book each year, so that she can read it whenever, and my big one stays nice.  I wait for the free 8x8 offer that they have once or twice a year.
When this came in the mail, she was so excited!
