October Fun

Now that the boys can climb the big ladder and go down the big slide, they rarely play on this slide anymore.  This particular day, however, they thought it was so fun!

I decided to get the boys' pictures taken at my school this year.  It was a little work to get them to smile for Judy, but I love how all three turned out!

We had family pictures taken.  It was lots of work, but he got some amazing shots!

The teachers at my school all had a pumpkin decorating contest.  The pumpkin had to go with a book.

This one was my team's.  My two team members already had a fun idea, so I rolled with it.  This is from the book "Pie in the Sky: The Authorized History of Punkin Chunkin".

The students voted, and we won!

On the Saturday before Halloween I went downtown with Shelley and Jackie.  They were having a Halloween drink contest.  There were nine bars/restaurants that had entered drinks in the contest.  We tried 5 of them.  

I voted for this one from the Chocolate Bar.  It looked fun and was delicious!

Halloween

On the Saturday before Halloween, we took the kids trick-or-treating downtown.  We went with Troy and Ashley, but none of us thought to get a picture.

That afternoon we went to Trunk or Treat.  Monroe's dance class was performing.

I am so glad I got this picture on Saturday because it snowed on Halloween.

The first place we went was Monroe's teacher's house.  I got to see Ady.

 Monroe got to see Mrs. Boslau and Braxton.

 Then we took the kids to the mall.  I thought it would be too cold for the boys to be outside, so this was the next best thing.  It was really busy, but it was better than nothing.

Zach's parents came with us.  They had a trunk or treat later that night.

After the mall, we stopped by to see our nanny and a few neighbors.

 Then, Monroe and I went around to houses.  We froze, but we were glad we did it.

Hopefully, there will be nicer weather to trick-or-treat next year.

First tooth lost

Monroe finally lost her first tooth at 6 1/2!  She thinks she's the last one on Earth to lose one :)  She was so excited to take it to school, show her teacher and friends, lose it, find it, and leave it under her pillow for the tooth fairy.

Nine days later, she lost a second one.  She had Zach pull it for her.  Her other bottom one isn't loose yet, but her other top one is.

She looks so different!
