Parents' night at dance

I should title this post Mom's night because I forgot all about it and never told Zach anything.  By the time I called him, he was working on supper and her dance studio is clear across town.  I didn't have my camera either, so I used my phone.  Thank you to Ashley for sharing some of her pictures!
The last time we watched a dance practice was in early November, so it was fun to see everything they've learned since then.

They did a lot more bar work this time.  They stayed there longer and knew more ballet positions.

Then they practiced shuffling, skipping, and leaping.

And they did one of their new songs for us

I love this picture of the girls!

Monroe has loved going to dance on Tuesday nights.  Now, I am excited for her recital in May!

Favorite book character day

This week is Read Across America Week.  On Monday we dressed up as our favorite book character.  I chose Stanley Yelnats from the book Holes.  It was hard to find an orange jump suit.  I finally got one from a store in Kearney, and a friend picked it up for me.

My students (the ones who dressed up)

One of my students dressed up as Zero, Stanley's best friend.

A lot of the staff members dressed up.  I wish we could have had full body shots of everyone because there were some great costumes!
I love my school!

February Phone Dump

I made some new art for our bedroom.

Baby Everett

When Zach replaced a toilet at our house, it left an unpainted patch on our wall.  Since the can of paint in the garage was empty, I decided to paint an accent wall.

Climbing on Nana

I got the Timehop app a couple weeks ago.  This adorable picture came up.

We took Monroe bowling one night.  We had matching shoes.

 Valentine's Day

We drove to Lincoln one Sunday for Kaiya's birthday party.  Monroe was able to see her cousins on both sides in just a few hours.
These two are only 14 months apart.

Pink day at preschool

Monroe figured out that our sauna has a 'stage' in it.  At least it's getting used for something.

  Birthday party

I dumped out Monroe's letters the other day during bath. She put them in alphabetical order by herself, which is something we have never done before.  I was impressed.  We couldn't find the B or U, so she asked if she could use her 8 as a B.

Newell friends

Lea Ann had a volleyball tournament at Senior High last weekend, so we went and watched.

The circus was also in town last week.

February felt busy and went by quickly
